We are presenting a collection of vietnamese musical instruments. They are hand made by the Vietnamese famous instrument maker: Master Phan Chi Tinh. He is now teaching his son, Phan Chi Hong, to continue this traditional trade. Master Tinh is one of few famous musical instrument makers still living in Hanoi. These instruments are made out of bamboo, wood, or buffalo's' skin. They have beautiful sounds and interesting designs. These instruments are used in Vietnamese traditional music which play an important roles in theaters and in other traditional festivals.

	Dan Bau/Professional Instrument $380	This charming instrument has beautiful mother of pearl inlaid. This instrument called: Dan Bau, monocord instrument, an instrument which made the typical vietnamese traditional music. The sound is very poetic, very vietnamese! This instrument is professionally made for the best of sound quality. It has been made and tested by Master Nguyen Chi Tinh. The case is included. This instrument called: Dan Nhi, or violin has 2 strings of nylon and metal, having a long handle and a sounding case covered by a snake skin. It emits melodious sounds, while conserving the clarity of tone for which the related Chinese and Indian instruments are noted. This instrument has a soft plastic black bag with zip and handle which make it easy to carry around.
	Dan Tranh $490	This charming instrument has beautiful mother of pearl inlaid. The case is included. It has been made and tested professionally by Master Nguyen Chi Tinh. This is the instrument called: Dan Tranh or also called Dan Thap Luc, 16 string zither, invented by Emperor Phuc Hy of China (2852 B.C.) Its sounding case is made of Ngo Dong wood, an Asian plant. The instrument is placed in front of the musician who uses right hand to regulate the pitch and vibrate, while picking the strings with left hand. A set of finger nails is included!!!
