These stone boxes are hand made in Vietnam. Each box is a pice of fine art with beautiful designs and exquisite handcraff work. They are hand carved from natural stones. Differently with the mass produced stone boxes (made from the the molds with stone powder), they are made out of real stone blocks, hand carved and truly beautiful! They are made by family of Mr. Tien Dinh Tran who has five generations of making stone carving. We visited him recently and very impressed with his skills, and his ancient house which was built in the 17th century. He works very hard and have very simple life style in the village. | |||||||||

Betels Nuts are popular in Vietnam. Vietnamese people used to chew the nuts. These betels have strong taste, they can give you the red bitter juice and black teeth. That tradition is no longer exist (some old people are still doing it). Based on the ancient love folk tale, betels nuts become the symbols of weddings.
